In this painting, I invite you to witness a moment filled with both tension and release. You see the feet of a crowd, their forms mirrored in pools along a rain-soaked street, while in the foreground, the feet of a lone runner – my own – push forward in a desperate attempt to outrun memories. The scene is a vivid reflection of my personal journey: I am the runner, striving to leave behind a past that weighs heavily. The bold red tones stand out against a backdrop of muted gray, symbolizing a yearning to let those lingering histories dissolve into the indistinct landscape. Through this contrast, I express my hope that, in movement and anonymity, the burdens of the past might finally fade away.
