The painting titled ANTENNAE GALAXIES COLLIDING is part of the ‘AM‐PM’ series, which aims to bridge the gap between the awe-inspiring astronomical phenomena and human perception. The composition draws inspiration from nebulae, stellar explosions, and the dynamic interplay of stars, particularly focusing on the Antennae galaxies, which are currently undergoing a dramatic galactic collision. Scientific studies suggest these galaxies are much closer to the Milky Way than previously believed, at about 45 million light-years away. The painting captures the evolution of this cosmic event: 300 million years ago, stars began to stream out from both galaxies, forming the characteristic antennae shape, and in another 400 million years, their cores will merge into a single nucleus surrounded by stars, gas, and dust. Inspired by Hubble telescope imagery, I visualized the luminous and enigmatic tensions of the universe, conveying both the passage of time and the mysterious beauty of cosmic forces.
