When I created this painting, I wanted to capture the fleeting beauty and energy of a dancer, reflected in a world that blurs the line between reality and abstraction. The composition invites viewers into a dreamlike landscape, where the figure moves gracefully within a space that feels both familiar and mysterious. For me, each piece in this series acts as a “room” for the inner lives we conceal – those memories and emotions tucked away by our unconscious. My process begins with an abstract base, laying down colors and forms that evoke emotion without definition. Then, I carefully introduce hyper-realistic details using oil paint, layering them over the abstraction. It’s almost like applying digital filters to a photograph – each layer adds depth and nuance, enhancing the interplay between what is seen and what is felt. Through this collage of painted realities, I aim to invite viewers to step into their own hidden rooms and reflect upon the landscapes of their memories.
