This painting is part of my Drops series from 2015. In creating this work, I sought to pay homage to water – a fundamental element sustaining every aspect of life on Earth. The scene captures the city of Paris, viewed through a window. The drops sliding on the glass act as a filter, distorting and softening the city. We imagine the atmosphere, blurred by the distortion and the narrative it hides beneath.
