Journey n°8 is part of my Drops series painted in 2015. In creating this work, I sought to pay homage to water – a fundamental element sustaining every aspect of life on Earth. The scene captures a cityscape in Florida, viewed through a pane of glass with pearl drops. These droplets act as a filter, distorting and softening the city beneath into a mosaic of dark and light blues. The resulting atmosphere is one of mysteries; as the viewer gazes through the glass, questions naturally arise: What preceded this moment? What might unfold next? Through this composition, I invite you to contemplate both the essential nature of water and the enigmatic narrative woven into the blurred vista beyond the glass.
