This work on paper is inspired by my residency at CERN, where I was mesmerized by the enigmatic nature of particles and their elusive behavior. While immersed in the scientific atmosphere, I was struck by the fleeting presence of these particles—their ability to disappear the moment our attention shifts away, as if observation itself is what brings them into existence. This sense of impermanence and mystery deeply influenced my creative process. I wanted to capture the paradox of visibility and absence. To do this, I integrated mouths into the composition—these serve as symbols of communication, representing the voices and connections that persist even when unseen. The mouths speak ironically, embodying the idea that some forms of expression continue beneath the surface, hidden yet powerful. This painting invites viewers to reflect on what is perceived and what remains hidden, both in the world of science and in our everyday interactions. It’s a meditation on the delicate balance between presence and absence, observation and invisibility, and the ongoing dialogue that exists even when it cannot be seen.
