“Rooting Dream n°2,” part of the Slow-Motion series begun in 2025, is an evocative oil painting created in Texas, USA. The artwork explores the contrast between the gentle, unhurried pace of flora and the rapid, energetic rhythm of human existence.  The Title” Rooting Dream” carries a nostalgic note, my personal desire to settle somewhere, longing for stability after a life travelling the world. Slow-Motion references the contrast of rhythms between the Slow quietness immobility of Plants versus the fast-paced and sparkling speed of Humans. The creative process behind this painting unfolds in two distinct phases. Initially, I painted a traditional landscape, capturing the serene and enduring quality of nature. In the subsequent stage, dynamic motion oil strokes are applied, transforming and nearly erasing the original scene. This technique visually expresses the tension between the slow, quiet resilience of vegetation and the fleeting, vibrant movement of people. The result is an image that hovers between tranquility and transformation, inviting viewers to contemplate the interplay between stillness and change in both nature and human life.
