Acting as a dark mirror to Rooting Dream n°6, this composition presents a vegetation still lush in appearance, yet severed from its vital charge. The forest persists as image, but its pulse has been displaced. Neon streaks cut across the scene with the urgency of emergency signals – ambulance light, digital glare, a synthetic alarm invading the trees’ slower temporality. Beauty becomes unstable here: seductive, overexposed, almost anaesthetised. Nature is not erased so much as interrupted, caught beneath an artificial rhythm that fractures its silence. The painting stages a collision between organic duration and accelerated spectacle, asking what remains of the living when luminosity no longer reveals, but overwhelms.
