An hommage to the tree I spent time with while at Finca las hormigas, in Costa Rica. This drawing feels like an apparition of a tree suspended between worlds. Its trunk slips beyond the frame, as though it cannot be contained by paper, while its roots unfurl toward us like ancient currents, slow and alive. The tree seems to exist in a sacred vertical passage, descending into the hidden pulse of the earth and rising toward a celestial silence beyond sight. The faded spaces are not absences but breaths, places where the form dissolves into mystery. What vanishes into whiteness does not disappear; it sinks deeper, entering the secret life of the page itself. The roots become rivers of energy, and the whole drawing hums with a quiet sense of time, as if the tree were not only growing through space, but through memory, eternity, and the unseen.
