Part of my “e-motions” series, this self-portrait depicts confusion and struggle. The slow movement of my posture conveys a sense of revolt and vulnerability. Dressed in a simple white top, a garment that hints at notions of purity and understated femininity yet also suggests an internal struggle to fully embody or reveal these values. The subtle motion of my body implies gentle restlessness, while my arms protecting the face, allude to unspoken emotional turmoil beneath the surface. The composition overall evokes a mood of restrained emotion and the complexity of inner conflict.
