In this painting, I sought to capture the fleeting poetry of an urban moment. My inspiration came from the way rainwater pools on asphalt streets, creating a temporary canvas for life to express itself. By framing only the bodies reflected in the water, I wanted to explore the transformative power of reflection – how familiar forms become enigmatic when seen through a liquid lens. The figures themselves remain hidden; only their shimmering echoes in the puddle invite the viewer to imagine who they are and what stories they might hold. The essence of the composition is mystery, and the narrative is intentionally left open, offering each observer a chance to weave their own tale from the mirrored silhouettes.
