This painting, has inspiration in a scene occurring in Tokyo, Japan, where people are crossing the plaza during sunset. I was inspired by long exposure photography technique that transforms the static composition into an artwork with vibrant colors that evoke traces of movement. By taking an ordinary, everyday setting and infusing it with metaphorical depth, I like to play with the obvious and convey something mysterious and evocative. Each brushstroke and hue serves to narrate an unfolding story, highlighting the energy and transient connections among people as they navigate the plaza at dusk. The result is a visually striking portrayal, where the interplay of colors and motion invites viewers to reflect on the emotional and energetic undercurrents that define urban.
