This painting from January 2024 unveils a tender moment between two lovers, their silent footsteps echoing a deep and unspoken complicity. The snowy mountains stretch across the background, softly blurred in the tradition of classical landscapes, their timeless beauty forming a gentle, ethereal contrast to the pair. Rendered in delicate charcoal, the figures seem almost to float upon the canvas, their presence distinct and beautifully out of sync with the world around them. Through the interplay of technique – pastel softness and charcoal definition, I captured a love so intimate that it creates its own universe, untouched and undisturbed by anything beyond. In this serene scene, the lovers journey together, each glance and gesture an expression of a romance that stands resilient against the backdrop of eternity.
